la jolla beach and point loma, in photos

On Thursday night, the beautiful Alexa Kerouac came to stay with us for a couple nights! We drove her to San Diego on Saturday morning, and Max decided it would be a perfect adventure day. I’ve never been before. We had coffee at Bird Rock, and spent the day exploring La Jolla Cove, Sunset Cliffs, and Point Loma.

The first little row of photos are from my Instagram. I wish I’d brought my camera down to the seals in La Jolla! They were adoraabblleee. The rest of the photos are taken with my camera. ♥

Lovely photos. Tide pools are aywals exciting to explore, so many strange critters :)I wish more parents would do all the stuff you do with your kids. Children are so curious, it’s a sin not to show them how much there is to see and explore in the world. I hate to see how many kids are deprived of that chance (including access to good books, my inner librarian feels compelled to add) and grow indifferent to the wonders of the world.

  2. Absolutely beautiful. The pics from point loma are breath taking, in sad and somber way. Thanks for sharing these.

hey, you came to my city! thank you for showing off its beauty so nicely. 🙂 and thank you especially for the shots of rosecrans. my grandpa is buried there, so they’re rather special for me.

Love these. I went to college at Point Loma and this brought back lots of memories of the amazing views and beauty that surrounded me there! One of my favorite things was seeing the sun “spotlights” on the ocean. Great job capturing all of this!

I visited Point Loma when I was fifteen and fell in love with San Diego. Many years later… I am moving there with my husband next month. 🙂 This just thrills my heart because I have been craving it for so long.
